ABSTRACT
We are immersed in a cultural shock that always follows a certain disconnection with a lack of involvement in society. With the idea to make a personal intervention around Lindy Hop dance, we introduced a functional prototype in order to interact with the dance culture. This corporal garment was created with the purpose of both criticizing the male tyranny of Lindy Hop dance and ensure everyone gets the leading role by merging the depicted garment and the body.

DESCRIPTION
The aim of this garment is to depersonalize the Lindy hop dance by neutralizing gender roles  and, therefore, getting rid of both the follower and leader positions. In this case, both dancers are equally important and if one of them fails to follow the rhythm of the music the performance would be unsuccessful, for this reason coordination is essential. In this way, we have chosen a kind of music that is coherent with the essence of our project (Paténipat - Charlotte Adigéry).
The functional prototype consist on:
A white lycra sleeve with a length of 4 meters, which allows the dancers to remain connected, not exactly physically but through the garment, creating a bond that allows them to dance together, whether they're touching or not.

A pink neon ribbon that not only has an aesthetic purpose but also helps to visually connect the whole piece, and remark the tension created. The bodies of the dancers are covered by a white suit where the pink ribbon enhances the silhouettes and completes the visual composition of the dancers' limbs. In addition, we made pink wire rings to complete the look.
Finally, by using blue lights we emphasized the volume and the different characteristics of the prototype. For instance, the texture of the fabric, the tension created, and the visual impact of the body-like structures that are generated.
